Are you working in good posture?
Move your bottom to the back of the chair and ensure your back is supported. Make sure your:
1. Feet are on the floor
2. Hips are level or above your knees
3. Forearms are parallel to the ground
If your feet do not reach the ground, rest your feet on something sturdy.
Sitting up straight in a relaxed posture will reduce the load on your spine, increase your confidence and alertness.
Sitting in bad posture / on the edge of the chair and / or having your feet dangling for long periods means that the muscles around your back have to work hard for long periods and there is increased load on your spine.
